A Frozen Embryo Transfer (FET) cycle involves utilising embryos that have been previously frozen from an IVF cycle. This procedure occurs during an unstimulated cycle and requires meticulous monitoring and preparation of the uterine lining (endometrium) for the transfer of the thawed embryos. Whether your frozen embryos are stored in our facility or transferred from another clinic, our experienced team of embryologists will thaw the embryos and assess their viability. If the embryos remain suitable after thawing, they will be transferred into the uterus, similar to a standard IVF cycle.
Frozen embryo cycles are used:
• When the endometrial environment in a stimulated cycle is not optimal
• To transfer remaining embryos originating from a stimulated cycle
• After biopsy for preimplantation genetic testing while awaiting results
